> [iito] adds perspective to strategic information for top level decision makers

[iito] Business Intelligence – a Germany-based business intelligence provider focussed on the life sciences industry – proudly announces to bring back the past into its European Life Science Business Newsletter, the [LSE] Newsletter.

Adding perspective instead of adding another »From the Archives« section

Starting today, the [LSE] Newsletter will – in addition to up-to-date news – also include news that may have been issued even several years ago. These »old news« now included are not another »From the Archives« section with content covered by [LSE] before. Instead the newly featured news will consist of older news that have been recently added to the [iito] database. Ultimately, we are putting the news of today into context with the most relevant news of the past, based on decisions made today. In short: [iito] is adding perspective for its readers!

[iito] Business Intelligence: structured information for strategic decision-making

Like several other offerings in Europe and North America, [iito] news portals and newsletters provide readers with an up-to-date selection of life science business news. However, this news selection is not – and has never been – the ultimate core of what we do. Basically, we are a business intelligence company and not a business news outfit. It’s all in our name: [iito] Business Intelligence.

[iito] selects and structures information that we deem to be of importance from a business perspective. As a team of economists we dare not to make comments on specific drug targets or disease pathways, and our selection of respective news would not be a trustworthy one. But we are very much aware that a company launched out of stealth with funding from a major US life science VC is definitely another business story than big Japanese business groups buying strategically into biopharma production capabilities in North America and Europe. Accordingly [iito]’s news selection helps you to see business trends more clearly, while it is less useful to spot which so far undruggable target will be turned into a druggable one any time soon.

[iito] provides the most interesting & relevant business news, not just the latest news

Marcus Lippold, Head & Founder of [iito] Business Intelligence, comments:
»Ever since we started more than a decade ago, our priority always has been to provide the most interesting and relevant life science business news to our readers. Our motto is “Putting Information into Context”, and to do so, you need to go beyond providing just the news of this week. The news of this week are just, well, the news of this week. And it is most unlikely that any news service in the world can in real-time provide the news of this week and at the same time, the most business-relevant news.«

»What’s the upshot? If you work from week to week, providing always the news of this week, it will be hard, nearly impossible, to capture the “spider web” that defines the space for business decisions of our readers. To capture that space, you’ll have to go the extra mile and go back in time. This going back in time to look for relevant news from the past that matter for today’s decision has always been the core strength of the [iito] offerings in the market!«

[LSE] Newsletter: older press releases will now appear at the end of the news list

Each [LSE] Newsletter will now feature some news releases that have been puplished some time ago, but added these days. While these “old news” will appear at the end of the newsletter, they will not explicitely be separated by a headline or something else from the most recent news. Life should always be an exploration and adventure. Right? Right.
